It is right in the centre of the town: the main façade and main entries face the Plaza del Coso Viejo square.
The “Museum of the Antequera Town” is formed by the former Palacio de Nájera and two new adjoining buildings, which makes a total of over five thousand square meters; half of them are devoted to exhibition rooms. It has become one of the most important museums in the Andalucía region on a municipal scale.
Inside, there are 20 rooms where several collections are displayed: from the very own symbols of the town, archaeological remains and sites, to modern paintings.
It is important to point out that if you are travelling with your pet, the MVCA is a Pet Friendly Municipal facility.
